Bio:

Antoine Arnaud had an unusual introduction to the world of the kindred. Antoine Arnaud was born March 18th 1979 in Montreal Quebec Canada. His childhood was unremarkable. Antoine was intelligent and imaginative. He did well at school, and excelled in the humanities, Philosophy, and literature. What subjects he lacked natural ability in, he made up for in long hours of study. He consistently earned top grades. He received a scholarship to attend Concordia University in the heart of Montreal.

Antoine was a graduate student at Concordia when he met Sang Valois at the university library. Antoine was writing his thesis on folk magic customs of the Algonquin Natives when he encountered Sang in the stacks apparently researching the same subject. In truth, Sang had watched Antoine for some time, and knew where to encounter him. The two got into a conversation about the nature off magick, and whether it truly existed or not.

As the library was set to close, Sang invited Antoine to his home in Westmount for a drink and a continuation of their discussion. Antoine was impressed with Sang’s mansion which overlooked the entire city. Also Sang possessed an impressive library which rivaled that of the university, and certainly surpassed it in matters of the occult. Sang served him tea and the two spoke into the night. Antoine felt, afterward that he had made a friend.

Over the next few days Sang continued to spike Antoine’s tea until he was blood bound to him and then ghouled him. Sang allowed Antoine to finish school and Sang was able to make valuable contacts there in the meanwhile. Sang began to teach Antoine all about the world of the kindred. Sang assigned him old and dusty texts from San’s extensive library, and he came to realize that vampires and other creatures like werewolves and ghosts actually exist. Antoine also came to realize that there was a deadly secret war between the two sects of vampires-The Camrarilla and the Sabbat. Sang told him that he was an advanced scout targeting and investigating vampires-that Montreal was the heart of Sabbat territory.
Antoine picked up Auspex from Sang’s vitae, and he picked it up rather fast, causing Sang to comment that Antoine was a “natural.” In the first four years as Sang’s ghoul he learned much about vampires of both sects and about vampires in general.

The nature of Antoine’s Embrace was also rather unusual. In 2010, Sang’s position was compromised, and Archbishop Carolina Valez ordered a police raid on Sang’s haven. Sang managed to escape, but Antoine was captured. He was jailed and awaiting the interview and torture which would surely follow rom Archbishop Valez and her cronies. Unbeknownst to Antoine, Sang had cast the ritual of The Curse Belated on Antoine. Naturally Antoine was aware of the brand he received, but did not know its purpose, and Sang was not disposed to reveal it. So when Antoine was imprisoned, and on the verge of a long and grueling torture, Sang worried that he would reveal Sang’s alternate havens. Sang contacted him via telepathy and convinced the poor ghoul to commit suicide, assuring him that he would survive thereafter. He also convinced him by describing the tortures in vivid detail which awaited him.

Shortly after Antoine’s transformation, Sang found him at the morgue on ice where he was desperately hungry-Sang came with blood to feed him, and the two fled to Sang’s home city of Quebec City. At present, Antoine is rather poor at the Masquerade. He must think about blinking and pretending to breath. In Quebec City he has received training from the other Tremere of his chantry, and has managed to learn rudimentary thaumaturgy. He awaits his journey to Austria to partake o the cup o the seven. They depart in the midst of a sectarian war. which has followed them to Quebec City.

Image: Antoine is lean with dark hair, and dark eyes. He wears the black cloak of the fledgling. He has a moustache and goatee. He rarely smiles.

Roleplaying Hints: Antoine is studious, serious and learned. He is an intellectual and when talking to him one gets the impression of a well-read individual with a fierce intellect-that is if you can get him to talk at all. He is rather humbled by the other Tremere
